Cloud Console Booster for AWS (Unofficial) — Chrome extension, v0.1.0
Last updated: 2026-07-07
Unofficial tool. This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or
sponsored by Amazon Web Services, Inc. “AWS” is used only to describe
compatibility. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Summary
This extension stores everything locally in your browser and transmits nothing anywhere.
We (the developers) receive no data about you at all. There is no server, no analytics,
no tracking, and no advertising.
What the extension stores (locally on your device only)
- Favorite AWS services you select
- Recently opened AWS Console services: service name, region, console URL (without URL
fragments), and the time you last opened it (maximum 20 entries)
- Account memos you write: display name, AWS account ID, environment label, color,
frequent regions, free-form memo
- Role memos you write: role name, purpose, related account, memo
- Custom shortcuts you save: title, URL, category, memo
- Settings: default region and whether onboarding was shown
All of this is stored in Chrome’s local extension storage
(chrome.storage.local) on your device. It is not synced, transmitted, or
backed up anywhere by the extension.
What the extension does NOT do
- It does not collect, store, or transmit AWS credentials (access keys,
secret keys, session tokens, MFA codes). There are no input fields for them, and text
that looks like a credential is rejected on save and on import.
- It does not read page content, cookies, or website storage on AWS
Console pages. On AWS Console pages it reads only the page URL to
build your “recently opened services” list.
- It does not make any network requests. No analytics, no tracking,
no ads, no telemetry. The shipped code contains no networking capability at all.
- It does not sell or share data with anyone — nothing ever leaves
your browser.
Permissions explained
storage — used to save your favorites, memos, and
settings locally on your device.
- Access to
console.aws.amazon.com sites — used to detect
which AWS Console service page you opened (URL only) for the “recently opened
services” feature. The extension has no access to any other website.
Your controls: export and deletion
- Export: download all of your data as a JSON file at any time from
the extension’s Settings page (Settings → Import / Export).
- Delete: erase all extension data at any time (Settings → Delete
all data, with confirmation). Uninstalling the extension also removes its stored
data.
Paid features
All shipped features are free. A paid “Pro” plan is planned but is
not yet available: this version contains no payment processing, requests
no payment information, and never charges anything.
Children
This extension is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If a future version ever changes what is stored or introduces any network feature (for
example, an optional paid sync), this policy and the store listing will be updated
before release, and such features will be opt-in.
